The Nissan LEAF EV broke the record for the fastest reversing over a mile at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and we have it on video. Last week we reported that as part of its ‘Big Turn On ‘ campaign to get the world ‘switched on’ to electric cars Nissan were going to have a crack at the world record for going backwards for a mile in a car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Which they did.

With the news that General Motors are to pull out of Super Bowl advertising Hyundai steps up to tell GM they’re wrong. It’s really not been GM’s week. Last week they came out and told the world that ads on Facebook aren’t worth the advertising cost and that they were pulling their spend from the (now) newly floated social media site.
This is the VW Golf Sportsvan, but don’t get too comfortable with that name, because the successor to the Golf Plus won’t use the Sportsvan badge when it goes on UK sale in mid-2014. Good thing too: what exactly is sporty about a minivan? Is the VW Golf Sportsvan essentially the new Golf Plus?
